BORO x Mobile I SEE YOU, WHAT DO YOU SEE?
The exhibition BORO x Mobile I see you, what see you are showing a textile artwork by designer Antoine Peters in collaboration with residents of Amsterdam West and Nieuw-West at the Van Eesteren Museum.
BORO x Mobile I see you, what do you see is a project in collaboration with BORO x Atelier and designer Antoine Peters, where residents of Amsterdam West and Nieuw-West work together for a year to create a textile artwork. During a series of workshops, participants learn how to paint with vegetable waste, while talking to each other about their experiences in the neighborhoods and how they deal with waste. Everyone paints a piece of cloth that will eventually be part of a major textile artwork.
Together with local residents, Peters made various fabric patches with eyes painted with vegetable waste. Peters was inspired by the artworks created during the workshops and designed an installation to display them. On display at the Van Eesteren Museum from November 30 to December 10. Don't miss it!
BORO x Mobiel is a social design project that connects local residents by being creative with their hands together. BORO x Studio is a social sewing and dyeing workshop that is committed to sustainability, circularity and the development of talents.
A limited edition bag is also being designed especially for this collaboration. It can be purchased at the museum during the exhibition.
