Kids Workshop: Me & the Bug

In this free workshop, for children between 5 and 12 years old, children are introduced to the fascinating world of insects. Children immerse themeselves in their realities and then design a garden especially for insects, not for people! The workshop stimulates curiosity, creativity and connects children to nature.
The workshop consists of a part inside and outside the museum. Outside, we look for insects to get inspired and think about how they live:
- How do bees see flowers?
- How do ants experience textures and smells?
- How do spiders and flies see their surroundings?
- Can we experience the world from an insect's perspective?
Then children work with neon paint and recycled material, such as leaves, branches and paper. In doing so, they make a painting or collage of their insect-friendly garden.
Free entry from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
