Opening: As Within, So Without

It Van Eesteren Museum cordially invites you to the opening of As Within, So Without (Zo Binnen, Zo Buiten), the new exhibition by artist Inge Meijer. In this exhibition, Meijer takes us through the history of post-war Dutch living rooms, in which houseplants play a silent but decisive role. Using images from the magazine Goed Wonen (1946—1980), she shows how we deal with interior and nature change over the years, and how the inner and outer world continuously influence each other.

The exhibition features newspaper installations, designed in collaboration with graphic designer Dongyoung Lee, that reveal different periods of time and interior trends. In addition, artist and designer Don Yaw Kwaning shows plant-like sculptures made with traditional techniques and materials such as steel wool, resin, clay and clay. There is also a new poem by Gökhan Aksoy, poet from the Nieuw-West district.

The opening will be festively opened with a welcome speech by Jorn Konijn (director). Van Eesteren Museum), an introduction by Inge Meijer and a performance by Tuning In! Resistance Choir from New West.
