Walk: Parnassusweg with Hartwig Art Foundation

Hartwig Art Foundation and Van Eesteren Museum join forces for this unique 90-minute architecture tour around the Parnassusweg. Sandwiched between Berlage’s Plan Zuid and Van Eesteren’s Buitenveldert, this is a unique corner of Amsterdam where modernist experiments, early structuralist masterpieces, and contemporary surprises alternate.
The walk focuses on the transformation of the former courthouse by Ben Loerakker, the future home of Hartwig Art Foundation. The tour then continues to the Warners blocks, the Rietveld Academy, and the Burgerweeshuis. A professional guide will also lead visitors past a large number of lesser-known but equally surprising buildings and artworks that make this part of Amsterdam so unique.
